The other day I found out that someone I knew really well 10+ years ago is now way up there in a major corporation. Like way way up there… The curious part is the guy’s background…

Without revealing too many details I can say the guy is heavily into S/M. We played back then and his pain threshold was incredible. I think he had a thing for me and I could have been his boyfriend if I had wanted it – instead we became good friends. While he wasn’t “my type” he was a really nice guy and being new to S/M I wanted to play with someone who I trusted who had a lot of experience. We had a few sessions together – mummification, flogging, and just plain fucking. Then I met my current boyfriend who wasn’t interested in S/M…

Anyway, my point is that one thing I learned during my time in the S/M community was that being an S/M bottom is very compatible with success in corporate America. I think part of the reason why corporate America doesn’t work for me (I run my own business), is because I’m not submissive. There are certain jobs in corporate America where submissiveness (combined with intelligence) will get you a very long way and make you a lot of money…

The point is that if you’re a submissive bottom, take pride in your submissiveness and use it outside the bedroom to your advantage. If you play your cards right by finding the right top (boss) and treat him right and watch his back, you can do incredibly well.
